The Beatles Depot concept came about because several individuals who were collectors and sellers of Beatles merchandise could not find an online option that provided everything they were looking for in a retail/swap/auction environment. We put our heads together to try and come up with a platform that could handle our needs now and in the future and did such a good job at it that we decided to open our site up to qualified vendors that wanted to list their merchandise - that is any qualified vendor that wanted to list his BEATLES merchandise in a market place specializing in Beatles Merchandise. Although our store owners can sell any LEGAL products we require that all of our vendors list products that have ties to the Beatles or their affiliates.
Our concept is simple - apply for a FREE store, load your merchandise (we have tools for importing your items to shorten the amount of work on your end), sell it and pay us a commission on each transaction. The commission fees are based on volume and are on a sliding scale - the more you sell the less commission percentage you pay. We're kind of like Mastercard...
What do we do to earn the commission? We keep the website running, provide sipport to store owners, market the site through trade shows, online advertising and optimized SEO, targeted publications, and social networking methods. We also reinvest in our technology to insure that we are always current with what the market demands .
Our colletions will include: music, videos, apparel, art, autographed merchandise, collectibles, musical instruments, downloadable products, subscription services, and many rare and hard to find items from serious collectors. Our ties with many of the people who have played a role in the legend of the Beatles insures us that we will have a steady stream of content and merchandise that will always keep our site and inventory fresh.
To our shoppers - we are detailed in our qualification of new store owners and do not permit one-time or a few item vendors so that we can insure that you always get what you pay for from a vendor that will be here long-term and will stand behind the items they sell. Our stores offer affiliate programs, loyalty points, coupons, special sales and the occassional free products to keep you coming back for more.
